ON-SITE FACILITIES
Waste and Recycling
Here at Olivemead Lake we are proud to provide our visitors with a waste collection and recycling service. The bins are located on the main car park and we ask that you keep ALL GLASS WASTE separate and place the bottles loose in to the small red glass bin.
Glass can be recycled over and over and we ask that you pay particular attention to this recyclable stream as it is imperative it doesn’t get in to the Lake, for obvious reasons.
All other items should be bagged and tied securely and can go in to the General Waste bin we have chosen a sustainable waste collection partner who will process the material here in Wiltshire at a large waste processing and recycling facility and any item that can be recycled is removed during the processing.
Any residual waste after this process is sent to the Waste to Energy facility in Swindon where the energy is used to power several thousand homes.

We have provided you with a waste bin, with black bin liner in each lodge.
Please dispose of all waste and recycling in the big blue general waste bin and ANY GLASS to be placed loose into the small red bin, both are situated on the main car park next to the main entrance/exit gates when you depart the lake at the end of your visit.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR WASTE AND RECYCLING IN THE LODGES OR SWIMS FOR US TO DISPOSE OF
Please only use the bins provided for waste and recycling used during the duration of your visit
THE BIN AND GLASS RECYCLING AREA IS COVERED BY CCTV
